A quote I read that I wholeheartedly agree with, “Obama said Yes WE Can not Yes HE can. So if you haven’t seen change then ask yourself: what have you done differently to expect change?”
I’m interested, what have YOU done differently within the past few years to expect positive changes either in your life, your community, or your country?
So, as I’m putting together my online shop (still) I’m finding I have a lot of single items. As in: I’ve only made one of this bracelet and don’t exactly plan on making more unless someone asks for it. Do you think this is ok? Or would this just be annoying… ie: go to shop online to find out the item is out of stock and don’t really have the patience to ask for it to be commissioned. Thoughts, please?
Still need feedback on this. Visit the original post to answer. Pretty please?
I’m tired of all these people posting, asking for god to give them strength, or that their own successes and talents are god-given. Have some faith in YOURSELF! You are the only person capable of finding your own strength, and you’re damn well capable of it! Give yourself some credit! I really believe the only way to be strong and to find true strength is to accept these facts. If you’re good at something or accomplish something amazing, give credit to those who helped you along the way. Give credit to yourself. You deserve it.
Another thing that gets me irritated is why when terrible things happen, people say it was all part of god’s plan. When something terrible happens, it’s terrible. Embrace that. Get angry or upset. That’s the only way anything will ever change. Children are dying? Don’t accept it. Don’t just roll over into submission and say it’s the will of god. Acknowledge that on some universal moral level that it’s wrong. This feeling of unrest and injustice is what motivates people to change things. Start a charity, spark awareness. Even if it’s something that effects you on an uncomfortably personal level, don’t accept it. Never accept it. Only through action will you learn to live with it, and surprisingly enough be much happier. There are a lot of things that are terrible in this world, and some of you may say the only way to cope is to accept the majority of them (ie: attribute it to a divine plan that you don’t have the capacity to understand). Gee Kelly, it must be a miserable existence to see all these problems in the world and be upset about them. I think there’s something inherently human about wanting better for mankind and having the willingness to do whatever it takes to accomplish this.

The fact remains that African Americans make up much less of a percentage of the population than Caucasians.
